| Sponsor | Thomas-Jefferson | Mar 12, 2007 8:44am | | I think it is puritanical roots crossed with secular anti-value pop culture and the ugly bastard children their union have brought. |

| | 1906479 | Mar 12, 2007 9:48am | | 4: to have sex??? |
| Sponsor | anb | Mar 12, 2007 10:03am | | That's usually how its done. I know there are other varieties but the basic naked body to naked body is what has stood the test of time. No? |
| | 1906479 | Mar 12, 2007 10:05am | | But why would that be relevant to this thread? |
| Sponsor | anb | Mar 12, 2007 10:06am | You have to be joking?
Nudity - think body confidence issues, vulnerability, etc. etc.... |
| | 1906479 | Mar 12, 2007 10:11am | No, sorry, I don't understand how the issue of nakedness influences the way people perceive sex. You've just told me this is how one has sex: naked. Sex in an intrinsic part of human species (and not only), so nakedness should not be such a big issue, surely.
If you're trying to take it back to the influence of Christian Church and the way the naked body was built up to be a taboo, then, maybe. But I think that, as a society, we've moved on a bit since then.
Well, one only hopes anyway.
By the way, T-J what issues did you have in mind? |
| Sponsor | anb | Mar 12, 2007 10:21am | Nakedness should not be an issue, but for some people it certainly is. My comment was in part truth, in part goofy.
But if you have never felt uncomfortable being naked in front of others, good for you.
I think TJs question was a bit broad and allowed for many answers. In fact I am sure there are hundreds of thousands of books, articles written, courses taught in college, and dollars spent on answering that question. |
